My site is focused on my 2006 R1200RT, the modifications I have made and my riding adventures. When my teenage kids are too busy for me, and the wife's chores are done, I am out riding and getting lost (even with GPS).
My riding focus is long distance competitive Iron Butt type rallies or full day rides. My favorite riding is the challenge of long distance bonus type rides that many Iron Butt rides require. Most of my day rides average ~300 miles. Living in Northern California there is no shortage of places to ride and greasy food stops to visit.
After owning a 2006 K1200LT and 2005 R1200GS, I can attest the R1200RT is a great all around bike. Either a short day ride, rally or IBA ride, the RT makes the ride more than enjoyable.
